The information we gather, in addition to your tax return, is used to aid in your transactions and enhance your experience on our website. This information includes:

Credit card information:
Including cardholder name, credit card type, credit card number, expiration date, billing address, and email address. Credit card information is collected to complete our transactions. This information is shared with the credit card company and / or processor. Credit card information is kept confidential among the related parties and none of this information is shared with anyone or any entity outside of the transaction process.

Technical assistance information: 
This includes online chat help and may use such information as user name, email address, operating system, connection, and browser to assist the customer in completing a transaction and providing customer requested information.

Technological web information: 
OnlineTaxPros.com uses cookies which to allow you to customize our website to your specific tax filing needs. Through the use of cookies, we can display only those items that may be of interest to you, or make it easier for you to access your account information. In most cases, information collected through the Internet does not identify you personally.

We also use cookies to link the information you submit on our website for the purpose of transferring identical tax information throughout the tax software.

Governs the information disclosure practices of those involved in filing of tax returns.

Gramm Leach Bliley Act of 1999: In part, defines how financial institutions are to protect consumer's privacy and safeguard their personal nonpublic information.

Joint marketer: In this context, companies that market complimentary products with whom we have an agreement to provide products to better serve the consumer.

Service provider: In this context, companies that provide a service, such as customer support, to assist in the filing of your tax return.

Personally identifiable information: Information unique to you, such as name, email address, physical address, phone number, etc.

Why we share information
Information collected on tax returns is controlled by Section 7216 of the Internal Revenue Code, the Gramm Leach Bliley Act of 1999, company policy, and certain other applicable laws and regulations.

We may share information about you and the products and services you have purchased from us among members of the GLFinancialGroup.org corporate structure and its affiliates in the normal course of business.

We may provide selected information collected through affiliate website(s). We disclose information to our affiliates to better identify and serve the taxpaying customer.

Because of the financial nature of the services we provide, we do not market our website to children under the age of 13.

Security
GLFinancialGroup.org electronic filing process is completed entirely online. Once you have entered in your information on your PC, your data is transferred to GLFinancialGroup.orgs secure servers. Our security model begins at each server. Our custom configuration minimizes the amount of information malicious parties could obtain by strict file system layout and configuration. Our servers are monitored for crucial configuration and binary files for unexpected modification or tampering. Our servers are monitored for all relevant security lists for emerging vulnerabilities which may present security risks and update our system services accordingly.

Beyond the individual servers into the network, firewalls for each server are used to minimize the impact of inappropriate network usage. An additional firewall is in place between our internal network and the outside world, which prevents inappropriate use of our network and servers. Lastly, we monitor the overall usage of our network and servers in order to identify deviations from normal use.

Changes to our privacy statement
